Okay this is still a problem.

Seemly randomly at critical moments as combat starts and I start getting into a brawl, or I am watching someone as they initially start taking damage.

Frame rate drops to between 3-14 (Unplayable by the way) for 5-20 second bursts.

THis is the only game I have this problem with.

I have tried adjusting graphics, messing with computer settings, running in safe mode with internet only.
I have tried everything your support center has suggested, and still faced with this same bug that has been here for a year.

I get the SRM bug is a problem but I also get I'm not the only player suffering from dying or not being able to fire / hit my target because my frame rate drops to the point I cannot play.

Fixt this. Now.

Try to set all graphic settings to low !

If you still have problems, try the repair tool of do a reinstall of the game and start it with low settings.

Sometimes there are drops in framerate also on my system, which is very fast. It would guess, that these come from the server side and you can do nothing about it.

Yeah it could be your graphics card getting too hot. What graphics card do you own? What temps do you get when you play? Turn up that fan speed if you havent already.

My FPS lowers really badly when I get hit by missiles and sometimes when I am fighting close to mechs that go up in the air, makes it hard for me to move around, especially when I can't see what happens with missiles hitting, until I see that I died or get lucky.

I don't know what to try.

What hardware in your rig?

AMD Phenom™ 9750 Quad 2.4 GHz
Windows 7 64-bit
7 GB of RAM
GeForce GTX 460 SE

1280 x 720 resolution, Windowed mode.
DX 9, Motion Blur off, V-Sync off, Damage Glow off
Anti-Aliasing is off, other options set to Low, keeping Object Detail at Medium.

Not sure if that is enough details, and I bet that there are some settings I need to change too.

I've tried playing with the FPS showing in the corner and I see the numbers bounce around in the red color range when there are lots of missiles and other effects on screen.
